The project will bring together early-career professionals from civil society and government to learn, exchange, and build their network in Asia and Europe. It has two components:
· The online Training on Science and Technology Diplomacy which will run from 23 October to 4 December 2025 (13 live sessions over 7 weeks, ~3 hours of commitment per week). It focuses on building knowledge, practical skills, peer learning and networking in science and technology diplomacy.
· Selected participants from the online Training will be invited to join the Youth Summit on Science and Technology Diplomacy in Copenhagen (15–18 December 2025), held alongside the 2nd European Science Diplomacy Conference, and hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark as part of the Danish EU Presidency programme.
The project specifically looking for candidates from universities and research institutions who:
· Work as Research or Science Managers and have a supervisory or coordination role (e.g. managing research projects or teams, overseeing research areas, or supporting institutional research strategy)
· Are involved in international science, technology and innovation cooperation
· Are below 35 years old and based in an ASEF partner country.
Participation is free of charge. There are neither registration nor participation fees for this programme. Accommodation, meals, and travel subsidies will be provided for the selected participants for the Youth Summit.
