1. Worldwide Cancer Research Grants
 
Worldwide Cancer Research funds projects that explore challenging questions in cancer biology and open new directions for preventing, diagnosing, or treating cancer. They prioritize research that demonstrates creativity, intellectual risk-taking, and transformative potential. Applicants are encouraged to propose ideas that may be overlooked by other funders while maintaining scientific rigor and robust methodology.
 
Funding Organization: Worldwide Cancer Research
 
Research Focus Areas:
• Fundamental Cancer Biology: Cellular processes, molecular mechanisms, and biological pathways directly relevant to cancer.
• Translational Research: Studies aimed at improving cancer prevention, diagnosis, or treatment.
• Multidisciplinary Approaches: Projects may integrate epidemiological, behavioural, or clinical data to generate new hypotheses.
• Human Samples/Data: Eligible if essential to hypothesis-driven research and sourced from existing biobanks, cohorts, or databases.
 
Eligibility:
• Principal Investigator (PI) must be based at any not-for-profit research institution anywhere in the world
• Researchers from commercial or for-profit organisations are not eligible, though they may participate as collaborators
• Typically, PIs are PhD-qualified group leaders with at least three years postdoctoral experience
• Medical doctors and experienced postdoctoral researchers with strong research credentials may also apply
• Applicants must hold an employment contract covering the duration of the grant
• Only one application per research group per grant round
 
Maximum Award: Up to £275,000.

Application Deadline: The 2026 grant round will close when the 500-application cap is reached, or on 2 April 2026, whichever is first.

2. Logitech Future Positive Challenge 2026
 
The Logitech is now accepting applications for its Future Postive Challenge to support the development of sustainable products and solutions that reduce environmental impact.

Eligibility: The challenge is open to registered organizations of all sizes and types, including startups, SMEs, innovative companies, and institutes of higher education such as universities and research institutions.

3. Innovative Health Initiative (IHI) Call for Proposals
 
The Innovative Health Initiative (IHI), a partnership for health research and innovation between the EU and Europe’s life science industries, aims to translate health research and innovation into tangible benefits for patients and society, and ensure that Europe remains at the cutting edge of interdisciplinary, sustainable, patient-centric health research.
 
Funding Organization: Innovative Health Initiative (IHI)
 
Scope:
• Topic 1 (SO1): Boosting innovation for a better understanding of the determinants of health
• Topic 2 (SO2): Boosting innovation through better integration of fragmented health R&I efforts
• Topic 3 (SO3): Boosting innovation for people-centred integrated healthcare solutions
• Topic 4 (SO4): Boosting innovation through exploitation of digitalisation and data exchange in healthcare
• Topic 5 (SO5): Boosting innovation for better assessment of the added value of innovative integrated healthcare solutions
 
Eligibility: Applications are open to consortia of academic and industry partnerships based in at least 3 different EU Member States and countries associated with the Horizon Europe program. Any organisation established in a low and middle-income country is eligible to receive IHI funding.
