1. Henri Boulard Awards
 
Henri Boulard award aims at recognizing local initiatives dedicated to protecting microbiota and preserving human global health. From water purification projects to health education programs, the project must address a local unmet need in the country; aims at improving populations’ global health by protecting microbiota.
 
Funding Organization: Biocodex Microbiota Foundation
 
Scope: Three topics:
• Microbiota & Human Health
• Microbiota & Antimicrobial Resistance
• Human Microbiota & Environmental Concerns
 
Eligibility:
• The project must address a local unmet need for human health.
• The description of the project must indicate the tools used to respond to the problem.
• The applicant must be a health professional.
• The application must be made on behalf of an association, a research organization, hospital or institution.
• This project must be carried out in one of the following countries:
o Asia: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cambodia, China, Georgia, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Malaysia, Moldova, Mongolia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Singapore, South Korea, Tadjikistan, Thailand, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Vietnam
o Latin America: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru.
o Middle East Africa: Algeria, Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Rep, Chad, Comores, Congo, Djibouti, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Irak, Ivory Coast, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Niger, Nigeria, Rep. Demo. Congo, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, Tunisia, Togo
 
Maximum Award: €10,000 per project.
 
Application Process: Applicants are required to download the application form from the official website, complete all sections, and submit the finalized form to apply@biocodexmicrobiotafoundation.com.

2. Improve the Quality of Life of Older Cancer Patients
 
The overall goal of this call is to advance the understanding of older cancer patients’ care needs, and develop innovative, age-sensitive care approaches and tools to boost overall quality of life.
 
Funding Organization: EU Horizon Europe
 
Scope: Healthcare
 
Eligibility:
• Projects should include an appropriate mix of stakeholders from various disciplines and sectors, including but not limited to physicians, psychologists, nurses, academia, patients and their caregivers, patient representatives, behavioural scientists, SMEs, insurance companies, charities and foundations, research organizations, civil society, regional and national health authorities.
• Applications are open for consortia with at least 3 participants established in different countries, based in an EU Member State and Associated Countries.
• Participants from low- to middle-income countries are eligible for funding.
 
Maximum Award: Up to 6 million EUR over 2 to 5 years

3. Wellcome Prize for Mental Health Science
 
The Wellcome Prize for Mental Health Science with Nature champions new interventions that can transform the lives of people affected by anxiety, depression and psychosis.
 
Funding Organization: Wellcome Trust in partnership with Nature
 
Scope: Mental health
 
Eligibility: Eligible teams may be based at universities, research institutes, hospitals, government or not-for-profit organisations, or small and medium sized enterprises from around the world.
 
Maximum Award: One winning team will receive US$1  million, with three finalists awarded US$250,000 each to accelerate adoption.
 
Application Process: Applications must be submitted through the Nature Portfolio portal (https://natureawards.submittable.com/submit).
