The Coral Accelerator Program (CAP) seeks to fund international collaborative teams with impactful ideas in coral conservation and restoration. The awards are open to projects spanning across the full range of novel early-phase projects through to final proof-of-concept development and testing.
Funding Organization: Coral Research & Development Accelerator Platform (CORDAP)
Research Scope: Coral conservation and restoration with the following priority areas:
• Assisted evolution
• Aquaculture/Automation
• Preserve and conserve existing corals
• Limit early life mortality
• Intervention planning, risk, and monitoring
• Blended artificial and natural reefs
• R&D capacity development
• LMIC or Developing country R&D methods
• Reef-associated organisms
• Water quality
Eligibility: Project teams must consist of international teams of at least three applicants, one Lead Applicant and a minimum of two Co-Applicants, representing organizations from at least two different countries, one of which must be a low- or middle-income country per the OECD list. Eligible organizations include not-for-profit organizations, for-profit organizations, higher education institutions, research institutes, and government organizations based in any country.

Awards: Up to 1 million USD for up to 3 years.
