1. Call for Proposals: Programme Synthesis (Academic and Impact Contributions): Strategic Partnership on Agriculture and Food Systems for Nutrition in Low- and Middle-income Countries
The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), through its Global Research and Technology Development (GRTD) Research Commissioning Centre (RCC), invites proposals to deliver a programme synthesis for the Strategic Partnership on Agriculture and Food Systems for Nutrition — documenting the academic and policy contributions of the programme’s 41 grants ahead of its Programme Completion Review (PCR).
Research focus: The call is seeking a team able to bring together disparate grant-level material, engage the research community involved in delivering the grants, and tell credible, well-evidenced stories of contribution and impact. Proposals should address all four research questions:
• RQ1: What are the main academic contributions of the programme’s 41 grants, and how do these map onto the three outcome areas?
• RQ2: What is the volume, reach and collaborative structure of the programme’s peer-reviewed publication output?
• RQ3: How has the programme contributed to the wider evidence base, and what lessons emerge for FCDO, the Gates Foundation and the sector?
• RQ4: To what extent, and through what pathways, have the programme’s research outputs influenced agriculture/nutrition policy and practice?
Eligibility: The call is open to legally registered organisations worldwide. Applications may be submitted by individual organisations or consortia. Applications from organisations based in, or partnering with institutions in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) are encouraged.
Budget: The estimated budget limit of the project is £85,000.

2. Elephant Conservation & Research Funding Support Program
The Program provides grants to support global projects focused on elephant conservation, research, and habitat protection. The program prioritizes initiatives with measurable impact and strong community involvement. Key areas include human-elephant conflict mitigation, anti-poaching, habitat conservation, and wildlife research.
Funding Organization: International Elephant Foundation

Eligibility:
• Conservation organisations
• Research institutions
• NGOs and non-profits
• Field-based conservation practitioners
Maximum Award: The average Grant Award is $15,000 per year.

3 .Request for proposals: Alternative Protein R&D
Funding Organization: Coefficient Giving
Priority Areas
• Off-flavor reduction in plant- and fermentation-derived protein ingredients, via agricultural, breeding, processing, or fermentation-based interventions;
• Fat alternatives for flavor generation, including oleogels, emulsion systems on existing margarine/spread lines, oil bodies, novel flavor-active lipid compounds, and oilseed breeding for longer-chain monounsaturates;
• Egg reduction and replacement through enzymatic approaches, hybrid systems, and foundational functional characterization in industrial bakery, mayonnaise/dressings, and pasta; and
• Characterizing fish flavors in welfare-priority species, including tilapia and milkfish, carp and bottom-dwellers (including pond loach), and catfish.
Eligibility: Applications are open to universities and research institutions; small, medium, and large companies; and public sector research organizations from anywhere in the world. Successful teams will likely be somewhat interdisciplinary, combining expertise across analytical chemistry, sensory science, food science, fermentation, breeding, and/or industry-relevant scale-up.
Maximum Award: Individual awards are expected to range from approximately $100,000 to $1 million, with two- to three-year typical durations (3.5 years maximum).

4. Spencer Foundation Vision Grant Program
Vision Grants are research planning grants to bring together a team to collaboratively develop ambitious, large-scale research projects focused on transforming educational systems toward greater equity.
Funding Organization: Spencer Foundation
Scope: Educational system transformation
Eligibility: Proposals to the Vision Grant program must be for planning research projects that study education and/or learning, broadly conceived. Principal Investigators (PIs) and Co-PIs applying for a Vision Grant must have appropriate experience or an earned doctorate in an academic discipline or terminal degree in a professional field. The PI must be affiliated with a non-profit organization or public/governmental institution that is willing to serve as the administering organization if the grant is awarded. Examples include non-profit or public colleges, universities, school districts, and research facilities, as well as other non-profit organizations. Proposals are accepted from the U.S. and internationally.
Maximum Award: Up to $75,000 for projects up to 18 months.
Application Process: The application will be conducted in two stages. Applicants are required to submit an Intent to Apply form online at https://spencer.smartsimple.us/s_Login.jsp Applicants shortlisted in the first stage will be invited to submit a full proposal.
Application Deadline: The deadline for submission of preproposals is 12 August 2026.
