1. Global Climate Fellowship Program 2026

Halcyon’s 2026 Global Climate Fellowship will serve founders across the world who are tackling pressing challenges in climate adaptation and resilience. Through a hybrid programming format, selected entrepreneurs will attend a one-week, in-person residency in Washington, DC, five virtual programming days, and a final one-week, in-person residency in Los Angeles, California.

Funding Organization: Halcyon

Scope: Solutions addressing climate adaptation and resilience, including but not limited to:
• Renewable and resilient energy systems and storage
• Adaptive infrastructure and green building technologies
• Climate intelligence and early-warning systems
• Climate-smart agriculture and food systems
• WaterTech (water security, resilient water systems, and more)
• Blue economy and coastal resilience
• Financial resilience to climate shocks (including, but not limited to, climate insurance).

Eligibility: For-profit startups building scalable solutions tackling pressing climate adaptation and resilience challenges across the globe.
• Location: Global
• Stage: Must have a working Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and a realistic potential to scale. Applicants must demonstrate early user feedback or evidence of early commercial validation, such as pilots, LOIs, or revenue.
• Team:
o May apply with up to one Co-Founder.
o Applicant must be the CEO or hold primary decision-making power.
o Must be fluent in English (programming will be in English).
o Must be at least 21 years of age by the start of the program.
• Program Engagement: Applicant(s) must commit to participating in all residencies, program activities, events, and in-person and virtual sessions.
• Impact: Must be developing a product and venture which contributes towards one or more of the UN’s 17 SDGs.

2. Keeling Curve Prize 2026

The Keeling Curve Prize 2026 recognizes and supports innovative climate solutions that aim to bend the Keeling Curve downward by reducing the concentration of atmospheric CO2 and other greenhouse gases.

Funding Organization: Climate Curve

Focus Areas:
• Carbon Sinks – projects that activate and accelerate natural and/or man-made (engineered) systems
• Energy – projects that decarbonize energy, support zero-carbon energy innovations and advancements
• Finance – projects that make the economics and/or financial mechanisms work for climate-positive impact
• Social & Cultural Pathways – projects changing the way people consider, understand, and act on climate issues
• Transport & Mobility – projects reimagining and reinventing all types of mobility systems.

Eligibility:
• The Keeling Curve Prize welcomes entries for active projects or programs from anywhere in the world where Climate Curve is permitted to distribute funds.
• The Keeling Curve Prize is awarded for current programs and projects only. Applications centered on past work, unimplemented ideas, or untested hypotheses will not be accepted.
• All applications must demonstrate the potential for scalable GHG emissions reductions.

Awards: Winners and finalists receive financial support, increased visibility, networking opportunities, access to the fellowship program, where they can request up to three interns a semester, and connections to further funding and growth.

3. Australia Awards Fellowship

The Australia Awards Fellowships present a unique chance for mid-career professionals and senior officials from eligible developing countries, including Thailand, to deepen their expertise, strengthen professional networks and engage in Australia-based short-term study and work placements. The program invites Australian organisations in partnership with overseas counterpart organisations to apply, enabling a cooperative approach to capacity development that benefits both hosts and fellows.

Funding Organization: Australian Government

Priority Areas:
• Climate change, adaptation, resilience and green energy transition (including critical mineral mining)
• Health
• Gender equality, disability equity and social inclusion
• Digital Economy, cyber resilience, and media engagement
• Maritime and the Blue Economy
• Infrastructure and connectivity.

Eligibility:
• Applications must come from Australian entities like businesses, higher education institutions, training providers, government agencies or NGOs, in partnership with overseas counterpart organisations in eligible countries.
• Fellow eligibility covers individuals from developing nations who are not Australian citizens or permanent residents, and who are already working in relevant fields in their home country. The fellowship must align with one of the priority development areas. The activities proposed typically include both in-Australia and partner-country components, ensuring a blend of international exposure and local relevance.

Maximum Awards: Successful applicants will receive funding up to a maximum of $517,500 per Fellowship. The maximum amount of funding available per Fellow is $34,500 inclusive of in-partner country(ies) activities and program overhead fee. Each application is limited to 15 DFAT funded Fellows. Fellowships must not be greater than 52 weeks in duration with a minimum of two weeks of the activities taking place in Australia.

4. Jacobs CIFAR Research Fellowship Program

The Jacobs CIFAR Research Fellowship Program supports early- and mid-career researchers whose work is dedicated to improving the learning and development of children and youth worldwide.

Funding Organization: Jacobs Foundation and the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR).

Research Scope: The relevant disciplines include, but are not limited to, education sciences, psychology, economics, sociology, behavioral science, computer science, pedagogy, linguistics, neurosciences, and the science of learning.

Eligibility
Applications are open to researchers from around the world who:
• have obtained his/her PhD or equivalent degree within the past 10 years;
• are employed at an institution of higher education or research institute;
• are conducting high-quality research in an area highly aligned with early education and learning variability;
• are committed to engaging with the Jacobs CIFAR Research Fellowship Network.

Maximum Award: Up to 150,000 CHF per year for up to 3 years.
