The ASEAN-UK Green Transition Fund (GTF) aims to accelerate ASEAN’s transition to a clean and climate-resilient economy by reducing emissions in key sectors, supporting green economic growth and improving the livelihoods of vulnerable people. It will provide technical assistance throughout the region, targeting all ten ASEAN Member States (AMS) and Timor-Leste.
Funding Organization: UK Partnering for Accelerated Climate Transitions (PACT)
Research Scope: To be eligible for funding, each proposal must respond to one of the work packages below:
- Work Package 5.1: Transboundary policy frameworks and platforms for collective action on NbS
- Work Package 5.2: NbS models and monitoring; Financing for NbS research and development
- Work Package 5.3: Nature-positive financing and businesses
Eligibility
Organisation type:
- Both for-profit and not-for-profit organisations are eligible to be the lead Implementing Partner of a proposal/consortium.
- Government agencies and/or departments are not eligible to apply either as a lead organisation, or as a partner organisation within a consortium.
Consortia:
- Applying organisations must form either a consortium of different organisation or a multiple country offices application.
- Applicants must submit a letter of intent signed by the consortium lead and member(s) to form a consortium to response to this proposal.
Project type:
- All applications must be technical assistance (TA) or capacity building projects. The project proposed must be designed to build the capability and capacity of beneficiaries and key stakeholders to inform, incentivise, raise ambition, and encourage the implementation of accelerated action on emissions reductions.
- UK PACT is unable to consider projects that are solely focussed on basic or scientific research or infrastructure projects or pay for tangible assets.
Maximum Award: A single proposal per work package must not exceed £800,000 per year tax inclusive, with an estimated duration of 15 months. The maximum estimated budget for a project that lasts for 15 months is £1,000,000.
