The IMU-Simons Research Fellowship Program for Developing Countries (2024-2027) supports mathematicians from developing countries to travel to a mathematical institution for collaborative research for up to three months. The research visit has to be tied to a specific research project and a collaborating institute.

Funding Organization: International Mathematical Union (IMU)’s Commission for Developing Countries (CDU)

Research Scope: Mathematics

Eligibility: Applicants must

• hold a PhD in Mathematics;
• be based (place of work) in a developing country.
• be employed as a faculty member of a university or an equivalent institution;
• have already established contact with a mathematician in the host institution and have a definite research plan at the time of applying for the grant;
• be granted appropriate leave of absence from his/her institution for the period of visit;
• visit for at least a period of one month.

Maximum Award: The awarded amount ranges between USD5,000 – USD15,000 for up to a maximum duration of three months.

Application Process: Applications must be submitted online via the IMU grant application portal https://grants.mathunion.org.

Application Deadline:

• 15 July 2025 for research visits starting between 1 December 2025 and 1 December 2026
• 1 October 2025 for research visits starting between 15 February 2026 and 15 February 2027

ด้วย International Mathematical Union (IMU) ร่วมกับ The Simons Foundation ประกาศรับสมัครทุนสนับสนุนนักคณิตศาสตร์จากประเทศกำลังพัฒนาเพื่อร่วมทำวิจัยในสถาบันวิจัยทางคณิตศาสตร์ในต่างประเทศ (Collaborative Research)

ผู้สนใจที่ประสงค์สมัครขอรับทุนสนับสนุน โปรดดำเนินการตามขั้นตอนต่อไปนี้
1. สมัครผ่านระบบออนไลน์ของ IMU : https://grants.mathunion.org
– รอบที่ 1 : ภายในวันที่ 15 กรกฎาคม 2568 เดินทางระหว่างวันที่ 1 ธันวาคม 2568 – 1 ธันวาคม 2569
– รอบที่ 2 : ภายในวันที่ 15 ตุลาคม 2568 เดินทางระหว่างวันที่ 15 กุมภาพันธ์ 2569 – 15 กุมภาพันธ์ 2570
2. หากผ่านการคัดเลือกส่งข้อเสนอการวิจัยผ่านระบบบริหารงานวิจัยและนวัตกรรม (KIRIM) โดยมีเอกสารรูปแบบ PDF

ทั้งนี้ ขอให้ดำเนินการตามขั้นตอนดังกล่าวให้แล้วเสร็จภายในระยะเวลาที่กำหนด เพื่อ สวนพ. ดำเนินการตรวจสอบและเสนอพิจารณาข้อเสนอโครงการต่อไป
