The Ernst Mach – ASEA-UNINET Short-term Research Grant are open to postdoc researchers from Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand, or Vietnam who would like to conduct short research stay in Austria. The Grant aims to promote young academics in the early stages of their scientific careers and to establish an effective network of researchers with relations to Austria.

Eligibility:
Applicant must:
- be a postdoc researcher who are involved in teaching and/or research at an ASEA-UNINET member university in Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand, or Vietnam. KMUTT is an ASEA-UNINET member.
- hold citizenship of one of the following countries: Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam.
- be 45 years old maximum at the time of application.
- not have studied/conducted research/pursued academic work in Austria in the last 6 months before taking up the grant.
- have a very good knowledge of English and/or German.
Maximum Award:
- Monthly grant rate: 1,300 euros
- Assistance in arranging accommodation and health insurance
