1. Google.org Impact Challenge: AI for Government Innovation
The Google.org Impact Challenge: AI for Government Innovation supports nonprofits, social enterprises, and academic institutions that are partnering with governments and using generative and agentic AI capabilities to transform how public services function for social good — from everyday essential services to complex societal challenges.

Focus Areas
The program prioritizes AI-driven innovation across critical public service domains:
1. Health: Enhance public systems so more effective healthcare services can reach all citizens, regardless of location
2. Resilience: Empower communities to plan, respond, and recover from crises to protect people and save lives.
3. Economy: Expand opportunity and affordability by improving public infrastructure to ensure accessible, essential services and pathways to prosperity for all.
Eligibility: Open to any nonprofit charity, other nonprofit organization, public or private academic or research institution, or for-profit social enterprise company with a project that has a clear and explicit social impact purpose.
Award: Selected organizations may receive anywhere from $1M up to $3M+, and will participate in the Google.org Accelerator multi-month program with access to structured support including dedicated pro bono expertise from Google employees, technical training, and Google Cloud credits.

2. Google.org Impact Challenge: AI for Science
The Google.org Impact Challenge: AI for Science aims to empower researchers and organizations with the funding, tools, and technical expertise they need to accelerate scientific breakthroughs.
Funding Organization: Google
Focus Areas
1. AI for health and life sciences: Accelerate scientific breakthroughs in the field of health and life sciences by supporting projects that decode the fundamental mechanisms of life and produce foundational models, agents, open datasets, and a predictive understanding of biology to revolutionize human health.
2. AI for climate resilience and environmental science: Accelerate scientific breakthroughs that improve climate resilience, supporting projects that answer critical, unresolved questions about our planet’s living systems and/or enable novel approaches to better preserve those systems.
Eligibility: Open to any nonprofit charity, other nonprofit organization, public or private academic or research institution, or for-profit social enterprise company with a project that has a clear and explicit social impact purpose.
Award: Selected organizations may receive anywhere from $500K up to $3M+, and the opportunity to participate in the Google.org Accelerator, a multi-month program with access to structured support including dedicated pro bono expertise from Google employees, technical training, and Google Cloud credits.
