1. Coastal Ecosystem Conservation and Restoration in Southeast Asia
 
The call for proposals invites project proposals to support efforts in marine biodiversity conservation and coastal ecosystem restoration (e.g., mangroves, seagrass, coral reefs) in Southeast Asia.
 
Funding Organization: IOC Sub-Commission for the Western Pacific (WESTPAC), in collaboration with the Blue Partnership Action Fund
 
Focus Areas
The Fund supports research, conservation, and public awareness-raising initiatives with a focus on:
• Coastal ecosystem conservation and restoration (e.g., mangroves, seagrass, and coral reefs), as well as sustainable livelihoods;
• Marine biodiversity research, monitoring, and conservation;
• Relevant citizen science, public outreach, and education activities.
 
Eligibility: Open to legally registered NGOs, universities, research institutes, think tanks, and volunteer groups in Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam.
 
Maximum Award: Up to USD 50,000 for a duration of up to 24 months.

2. Mozilla Foundation Incubator Democracy x AI Cohort
 
The Democracy x AI Cohort 2026 is an incubator program designed to help early-stage but functioning AI technologies transition from prototype to long-term sustainability. The program supports projects that use artificial intelligence as a core capability to achieving democratic impact at scale, across communities, or in ways that weren’t previously possible.
 
Funding Organization: Mozilla Foundation
 
Categories:
1. Enable better information
2. Build institutional transparency and accountability
3. Protect and expand civic space
 
Eligibility
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
• Have a working AI-driven technology already in use
• Demonstrate real-world testing or adoption
• Have a committed team capable of 12 months of execution
• Show commitment to open-source practices (or a roadmap toward openness)
• Be legally able to receive funding from a U.S. nonprofit organization
 
Maximum Award: Each selected project will receive $50,000 and 12 months of structured incubation support to improve product quality, sustainability, and democratic impact.

3. DREAM 4 Health Call for Proposals 2026
 
The DREAM 4 Health Call for Proposals 2026 aims to establish high-impact research consortia that unite organisations and institutions across Southeast Asian countries and beyond, with a strong emphasis on engaging research institutions from Lower-Middle-Income Countries (LMICs) in the region. These consortia will work together to address critical national, regional, and global health priorities and create an equitable research environment.
 
Funding Organization: SEAMEO Secretariat in partnership with the Wellcome Trust and the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO)
 
Thematic Areas:
• Infectious Diseases
• Impact of Climate Change on Health
• Mental Health
• Strengthening Health Systems and Access to Care
 
Eligibility
• A Consortium must include a minimum of three organisations, each from a different Southeast Asian country.
• A Consortium must include at least one organisation from a Southeast Asian Lower Middle-Income Country (per World Bank 2025 definition): Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Philippines, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam.
• All Consortium Members must be:
o Public or private universities,
o not-for-profit organisations, or
o commercial organisations, involved within not-for-profit divisions or clearly marked as not-for-profit generating activities.
• Organisations from countries outside of Southeast Asia can be Consortium Members and are eligible to receive funds but are not eligible to be the Lead Organisation.
• A Consortium must establish a Consortium-level agreement between the respective Lead Organisation and Consortium Members. Organisations may use their own agreement formats or use the agreement template provided by SEA DREAM ahead of the invitation for full application.
 
Maximum Award: Up to USD 6.5 million per consortium for multi-year research projects lasting up to 60 months.
