1. NZ visit for Southeast Asian tech entrepreneurs and business leaders
The Asia New Zealand Foundation Te Whītau Tūhono is offering up to eight young Southeast Asian tech entrepreneurs and business leaders the opportunity to visit New Zealand to connect with their Kiwi counterparts and attend the NZ High-Tech Awards Gala dinner, one of the largest gatherings of tech businesses in New Zealand. The week-long programme in May 2026 will give participants a better understanding of New Zealand’s emerging tech sector, a chance to interact with fellow entrepreneurs working in the tech industry, and insights into how to connect their own businesses internationally.
Funding Organization: Asia New Zealand Foundation Te Whītau Tūhono
Scope: Tech entrepreneurs
Eligibility: Applicants must be:
• aged under 40.
• able to demonstrate leadership in their field and a working level proficiency of English language ability.
• an entrepreneur or business leader at CEO or senior management level involved in tech in one of the ASEAN countries.
• be based in and have citizenship of one of the ASEAN member countries.
• be interested in connecting with equivalents from other countries and exploring international business opportunities.
• be confident public speakers willing to engage in dialogue with entrepreneurs from other countries.
• be willing to contribute to the relationship between New Zealand and ASEAN.
Outstanding start-up entrepreneurs or emerging entrepreneurs will also be considered. No knowledge or experience of New Zealand is required.
Maximum Award: The Asia New Zealand Foundation will fund the costs of successful applicants, including a return economy airfare, NZ domestic transport, accommodation most meals and miscellaneous expenses. Participants will need to cover their own personal spending money, any visas and travel insurance (mandatory).

2. i4A Access Grant Program
The i4A Access Grant supports researchers and imaging facility staff in low- and middle-income countries to access cutting-edge imaging technologies. Grants fund short-term visits to national or international facilities, enabling skill development, collaboration, and capacity building in advanced imaging techniques.
Funding Organization: Wellcome Trust
Scope: Imaging technology
Eligibility
• Researchers and imaging facility staff or management affiliated with universities or research institutes.
• Applicants must be based in eligible low- and middle-income countries.
• Individual applicants are considered the primary grant recipients.
• Applicants may not host the visit at their own institution to ensure broader collaboration.
Maximum Award: Up to EUR 10,000 per applicant to cover expenses for facility access, travel, and associated costs.
