1. Win Win Gothenburg Sustainability Award 2026
The Win Win Gothenburg Sustainability Award honors impactful and completed sustainability initiatives that contribute to a fairer and more resilient world.
Scope: The 2026 theme, Gender-Equal Societies, focuses on how gender equality drives social stability, economic growth, and sustainable development.
Eligibility: Nominations are open globally and anyone can submit, including self-nominations.
Candidates must:
• Have completed an impactful sustainability initiative
• Serve as distinguished role models
• Contribute to system change aligned with the SDGs
Maximum Award: 1 million SEK.

2. ERC Consolidator Grant
The ERC Consolidator Grant supports talented researchers of any nationality with 7-12 years of experience since completion of PhD, a scientific track record showing great promise and an excellent research proposal.
Funding Organization: European Research Council (ERC)
Research Scope: Any scientific field.
Eligibility: The grants are open to researchers of any nationality with 7-12 years of experience since completion of PhD. Research must be conducted in a public or private research organisation located in one of the EU Member States or Associated Countries. The PI does not need to be employed by the host institution at the time of proposal submission, but a mutual agreement and commitment are necessary if the proposal is successful.
Maximum Award: Up to 2 million EUR for up to 5 years, plus an additional 1 million EUR for “start-up” costs for researchers moving from a third country to the EU or an associated country and/or the purchase of major equipment and/or access to large facilities and/or other major experimental and field work costs.

You will need to:
• contact the host institution
• develop a research proposal
• create a profile on the Funding & tenders portal (https://ec.europa.eu/info/funding-tenders/opportunities/portal/screen/how-to-participate/participant-register). Then, select the call for proposals you wish to apply for, ie. ERC Consolidator Grant) and use the proposal online form to submit your proposal before the deadline.
