1.Wildlife Acoustics Grant Program for Wildlife Research and Conservation

The Wildlife Acoustics grant program supports the advancement of wildlife research, habitat monitoring, and environmental conservation. The focus areas of the program include supporting scientists with product grants to advance the study of bats, birds, amphibians, and other terrestrial wildlife, travel grants to help researchers attend conferences, and software-only grants through streamlined applications.

Funding Organization: Wildlife Acoustics

Scope: Wildlife research, habitat monitoring, and environmental conservation

Grant Types:
• Standard Product Grant: Up to $12,000 USD in eligible products. Individual applicants may request recorders, accessories, and software licenses totaling up to $4,000 USD.
• Software-Only Grant: Selected recipients will receive one or more annual Kaleidoscope Pro licenses.
• Travel Grant: This grant, up to $1,000 USD, is for early-career professionals using Wildlife Acoustics recorders and/or software who want to present a talk or poster at an upcoming conference.

2.Request for Proposals: The Future of Learning, The Future of our Planet

The National Geographic Society has announced Grant Program for innovative education projects and research initiatives that foster curiosity and empower learners of all ages to protect and care for the planet. This call is designed to support projects that bring the future into the present by equipping learners with the knowledge, attitudes, and skills to take action that benefits both people and nature. Applicants may propose projects that either pilot new learning solutions or expand proven educational approaches to new populations and geographies. Research initiatives that measure the effectiveness of educational innovations are also welcomed, with a strong focus on cultivating the abilities necessary to design a sustainable and thriving future for the planet.

Funding Organization: National Geographic Society

Scope: Education

Eligibility:
• Applications are open to individuals worldwide who are over the age of 18 with demonstrable experience in using education strategically to achieve goals.
• Project must align to the Education primary focus
• Project must align to at least one of National Geographic’s six focus areas: Ocean, Land, Wildlife, Human Histories and Cultures, Planetary Health, Space

Maximum Award: Up to $20,000 in funding for Level I grants, and up to $100,000 in funding for Level II grants.

Application Process: Applications must be submitted online via the National Geographic Society grants management system.
