1.TECH4Resilience Challenge: Harnessing AI to tackle climate and humanitarian crises
 
The Technology for Evolving Challenges in Humanitarian Contexts (TECH) 4 Resilience Challenge promotes innovations that apply Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance humanitarian preparedness and response. The challenge is looking for solutions that either address and reduce the impacts of extreme climate events in emergency settings or strengthen and improve Anticipatory Action (AA) frameworks to better manage crises before they escalate. TECH provides customised support to maximise each initiative’s impact, align initiatives with potential funders, and increase visibility.
 
Funding Organization: Global Resilience Partnership (GRP), in collaboration with the Gates Foundation and Trafigura Foundation
 
Scope: Artificial intelligence (AI)
 
Eligibility: The challenge welcomes applications from innovators and entrepreneurs utilising AI to either address climate-related emergencies or strengthen AA frameworks. Both not-for-profit and for-profit organisations are welcome to apply. Projects targeting emergencies in low- and middle-income countries are eligible for the TECH Challenge, with the exclusion of Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria and the Crimea Region of Ukraine.
 
Benefits: Selected projects will receive a tailored leadership and mentoring programme, communications support, and guidance to prepare for pitching opportunities with potential investors. Winners will also be provided with funding up to USD 50,000 to further develop and scale their solutions.

2.Net Zero Challenge 2025
 
Funding Organization: Touchstone Partners and Temasek Foundation, in partnership with the Ho Chi Minh City Institute for Development Studies (HIDS)
Scope: The Net Zero Challenge 2025 features 3 tracks
• Track 1: Renewabvles & Carbon Removal
• Track 2: Food Systems & Sustainable Agriculture
• Track 3: Circular Economy & Waste Management
Eligibility:
The competition welcomes teams from anywhere in the world, no requirement to have a Vietnamese team-member. Proposed solutions must fit the following critiria:
• Tech Domain: Technology-based, including but not limited to: software, AI, hardware, deeptech, food-tech, agri-tech, new materials, new energy technology, new processes, innovations in bio or chemical engineering and tech-enabled business models.
• Adoption & Scalability: Minimally viable product demonstrating potential for widespread adoption, commercial viability and scalability.
• Vietnam Relevance: Suitable for Vietnam context and the country’s specific challenges and opportunities for implementation.
• Implementation Plans: Having clear plans for pilot projects and implementation routes in Vietnam.
